History/Lore
Shuvanees first variations are small, aquatic animals that live in coral reefs. They have otter-like fur and featherless wings that they use to glide above the water and they have an average height of 12-15 inches; the size of the average chihuahua. They have antlers and webbed toes.These aquatic shuvanees eat algae and dead coral, much like parrot fish. Soon, some shuvanees evolved to breath air and lost their gills. These shuvanees would then become the more widely-known subspecies we know today. Our modern shuvanees have cat-like fur. They have frontal talons and paws on their back feet. These shuvanees eat crystals and gemstones. They live wherever they can find food, which is normally around or in caves. They never go too far into caves, however, they are very sensitive to extreme temperatures. Some shuvanees developed a gene for longer fur, and as a result became the winter shuvanees. These shuvanees are very fluffy and live deep down in cave systems. This also works to assure that the shuvanee gets food. Sometimes, the modern and winter shuvanees work together to make sure nobody goes hungry.

How To Color
Shuvanees that do not have a theme that goes against it have a typical light/dark color scheme as seen here; spacedoutderp.deviantart.com/a…

If your shuvanee has a specific theme: like "spiral" or "angelic" this rule can be bypassed.

Shuvanees live an average of 200 shuvanee years; 1 shuvanee year = 7 human years, so we can say shuvanees live an average of 1400 human years.

Every shuvanee has genitalia for each gender, their genders are defined on what they feel they are. Some shuvanees may feel more feminine and others may be more masculine.

When a shuvanee finds a mate the exchange bows of their colors. Example: Cyan and Red are together so Cyan has a red tail bow and Red has a cyan tail bow.

You can grind shuvanees antlers and make the worlds most addictive cocaine.

Shuvanees can have powers based on their personality. Example: Cyan has the (pretty basic) Ice powers.

Aquatic Shuvanees have whiskers.
