Evil, demon ghost dragon. I decided against the wings, this spirit doesn't really need them to be able to fly.
Lots of experimentation with making it look glowy. Was going to go with blue, but red makes it look more evil, haha.

He is, of course everything he is supposed to be. His menacing presence spoke to me as soon as I arrived here. However, once I got over him trying to psych me out, I took in the background and those trees at the back- if it wasn't you I would honestly assume you had copied and pasted in some tree trunks- the section just above his hindquarters. Photographic.

Zarnoost had been a fearsome fire drake, roaring and menacing his way through a century of terror in the ancient forest of Gnar. Finally he had been laid to rest, or so the forest dwellers thought back then, many years ago. However, over time, they discovered that his spirit would return in times of unrest, thriving on doubt and fear and adding to it with his glowing ethereal presence. More than just an image or a shade, he retained a radiance, and a faint humming sound in the forest, along with wisps of the miasma he brought with him from the Spirit Zone, tremors in the leaves and slight disturbance on bodies of water as he walked by.

Take a look at the dragon on the Welsh flag- Y Draig Goch. You might see something equine about it.
