Description
I feel bad that I haven't uploaded anything for a whileBut I was going through my room the other day and found a lot of my old drawings, so here's a traditional sketch I did a few years ago!
*Sorry for the reflective gleam whoops

This looks really good.
You did a really nice job on the perspective of the eye, which is something I've noticed a lot of people can't do. But you sure nailed it!
Also that little droopy lip thing, or loose skin around the mouth, not sure what you call it, that's a nice touch too, you really gave the dog a classic labrador look.

Woah, thank you so much! You're very nice, I really appreciate it. I'm hoping to keep improving on drawing eyes, it certainly is tricky!
It would be wonderful to be able to draw like you can one day.

Yeah no problem! And really all it takes is a lot of practice and dedication. I really think anyone can be an artist if they work hard enough on it. My recommendation would be to do as many studies as you can using photographs of animals. It helps you learn the flow of fur, how the muscles lay under the skin, etc. I still use studies a ton when I draw, there's no such thing as being 100% learned in art. Beside that, you're way better than I was when I first started drawing. Keep up the good work!

I need to work on setting aside more time to draw- lately the most I've been doing is sketches during my classes. I really want to improve, so I've got to find a way to dedicate more effort to practicing. :3 Thank you for the recommendations! Fur and muscles/body textures are a some of the big things I'd like to learn that seem a little daunting, so I'll definitely need to study up on those. I kind of like the idea that I'll never be done learning; it feels good to improve! Ahh, thank you!
