Beautiful and intense. It took a minute to figure out what was going on, but when I did it was shocking. The varying time periods of the tub, headpiece and clothing was a little confusing, but didn't distract from the impact of the picture. The contrast of the beauty and the blood, being suggestive but keeping the bodies hidden also added to the disturbing quality. Overall a compelling and sensual photo that tells a story I can't begin to unravel. I thought there might be a story to accompany it, but it's nice that there isn't. I think it's a great job.

It gives a interesting mixed impression of Bathory and Cleopatra(because of the tiara on the main model). My favorite part is, however, the was the maidens are depicted. It first I couldn't really decide if they were kind of translucent like ghosts or solid.Β
