Description
So some asked once how Flick was able to tell the bad guys from the good ones. From Flick's origins he is able to sense dark entities around him, he knows what to look for, and he can see them. The thing hovering over Dusty is my version of a Jinn. A dark entity that uses its influence to feed a persons dark desires. Mr. Trinket is just a slight cameo, I was writing a fic about him but my computer crashed so I lost the story. A dull as dishwater fucktard. More specifically, he is the titular villain of the piece Death Note in which rather then being a man and taking care of business himself, he takes up the aforementioned death note, an item some dumb ass god of death dropped which grants him the O.P please nerf power of killing anyone when he writes their name in it, at the cost of upon his death neither being able to enter heaven or hell.
The piece Death Note is itself a dull preachy slog with a Twilight esque pretty boy vaneer that attempts very poorly to wax poetic and philosophy about human nature and vigilantyism and works under the assumption everyone whose lost others to rape and murder would automatically and emphatically adore Kira, and the majority of the rest would merely give lip service against him but agree with him in their hearts and minds

I liked Hellgirl better. Pretty much the only series, apart from this one, that had a right view of things.
In Hellgirl, at midnight, a person seeking vengeance, in short to act in place of Law or God and for their own selfishness, visits a site and calls hell girl. Once called, you are given a doll with a string around its neck, and once pulled, she drags your source of fury to hell. But to do so, you enter a coven with her, and on your death, you are dragged there as well.
My view is simple: there is heaven, and hell. One is eternity at the sources side, the other is seperation. There are no gates or guards in Hell, and one can leave the torment whenever one desires. But it takes the one thing none who occupy the pit have: humility, those two little words on their lips. Just an I'm sorry, that is all, and you sit at the table.
