Description

Origins: By accidental means the blood of a summoned demon fused with the blood of a sacrifice. A foal was brought into existence by the botched pagan ritual on the night of Samhain. After finishing with the cult leaders, the dark entity took the small pony back to the underworld, as a snack. The demon decided to fatten the small foal into a stallion so it could fest on more meat. Over time the demon came to care for the small four legged creature, and loved it as its own. The colt eventually grew into a stallion and was tolerated among the other dark entities. Trade: Flick owns a small shop on the outside of hoofington called “Mixtures and Artifacts”. His special talent is in dark rituals and potion making, but he sells remedies and artifacts out of his shop. A gift from the one he calls mother; grants him the ability to pass through the different fabrics of reality. He collects the artifacts in these dimensions to sell in his shop, for outrages prices. After all, a pony part demon needs to make a living.
Personality: Flick is quite likeable for the most part, even though he can be very pessimistic. He can also be very particular and lack a bit of tact at times. He is reliable and helpful when he is needed, but most of the time he only observers others around him. He doesn't want to be judged by his origins or by his other relations, so he tries to maintain a low profile. He has a dark sense of humor, and nonchalant way of speaking. Even though having demons in his “family” hasn’t made him entirely evil, only completely desensitized to gore. With that way of thinking he takes “nightmare night” very seriously. He is offended when the blood is too fake or something isn’t scary enough. To him, it is the pony world that is weird, and not him.
Abilities/powers: Flick for the most part is an earth pony. The only magic he really has is the rituals practices and the making of potions. The demonic traits he has naturally are; a slightly faster healing factor, the ability to make his eyes glow (night vision), and being able to sense dark entities around him.

Inherited Exterior Traits: Most of his psychical traits are normal for the most part. The only traits that set him apart from other ponies are half of his teeth are fangs, and his tongue can extend almost a foot out of his mouth. There are many traits from his mother that shine through him like his; goldish/yellow eyes, his mane and tail which are like blades or black flames, his hunger of flesh, his long tongue, and his fangs.

Faults: He doesn't have a lot of magic, he must summon his magic power with his incantations. It has taken him years to even to remember the spells he knows by heart. He lives in the pony world, but still doesn't feel like he belongs. He tries to fit in as best as he can, but still struggles with what he really is. He still feeds on flesh, but the funny thing about demons is that they can't eat just anyone. (Innocent blood tastes like unripened fruit; if it isn't offered to them willingly they can't stomach it. So they must feast on the flesh of the wicked and evil which tend to taste better to demons.) Flick still hungers for meat even though he tries to eat vegetables once and a while. He has an odd way of thinking about life and death, to him you are entering a new plan of existence and shouldn't be mourned over. He also believes the evil of darkness is everywhere, which his tends to leave his ears always down as some what a defense trait.

Pony-sona notes:

The black tie: The tie is a magical item; it has the ability to allow its wearer to pass through different dimensions of reality at will. Flick uses it mostly to gather items from other realities, and also to visit his mother (His mother is show on the left above Flicks head, and what I'd thought her voice would sound like www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY7-CE… ). (The idea for his tie came from some of my personal favorite horror writers; Rod Serling, Alfred Hitchcock, H.P. Lovecraft etc. I wanted something that reflected my love for those writers to show in my sona. The one thing that they had in common was that they all wore black ties. So I used the black tie for Flick as his key to different realities.)

Flick’s eyes: Being only 18% demon, one of the natural abilities he inherited was being able to make his eyes glow a bright yellow. (The idea: In the Japanese color symbolism the yellow orange-ish color can stand for; aggressiveness, hope, and or curiosity. So I like to believe that Flick has these traits in his core.)

Flick’s coat color and mane: Even though he doesn’t match the candy colored ponies of his origins, it never really bothered him. I mean you don’t expect lions to match with the zebras. (The idea: his mane and coat kinda go with his name. During the 30’s and 50’s, in the time of black and white/grey films, a few terms were used to describe them; the silver screen, the pictures, and flicker shows. I tend to like the classic monster movies, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf-man etc. all of them were black and white. So he is Flicker Show of black and grey.)

Flick’s cutie mark: A black circle inclosing herbs is perfect for the young alchemist (the idea: Flick’s CM is actually my family’s coat of arms, literally. I won’t change it, lol. Also, I had this thought that Flick never got his cutie mark till he returned from the underworld, so it would be the environment of the MLP universe that gave him his C.M.)

Flick’s pet: His pet is a Krite “monster” (the little thing on the pillow) normally they’re uncontrollable eating machines, but Flick believes you should blame they owner and not the pet. Flick's pet "Fluffy" is a girl and I named her after the creature in the old Creepshow movie, a short story called "The Crate" www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDE2q4… (The idea: I wanted a monster as a pet, but the only thing that came to mind was a Krite (Critters) small, fuzzy and dangerous.)www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VkxRD…

Personal note: I wanted to remake Flick's character sheet, because for whatever reason my traditional black pencils never stay black when I scan them in. I do appreciate the fan art a lot, but it is confusing to looking at a character sheet that doesn't have Flick's true colors. lol, he doesn't have grey hair, I'm sorry.
