And I'd imagine your current means employ aren't held in the best light huh? I've heard that tattoos aren't seen with much favor, so the artists, I'd imagine, are held in even less regard.
I can't say I know exactly what you're talking about. The fake smiles thing, yes, but that kind of describes everyone. For me, in my own family, your exactly that. Family. Its the parents that the rest of em get pissed at.
So, like lets say we went to see my aunt or grandma, who severely disapprove of my circumstance (born out of wedlock. Parents married after.) So, when they visit, they're all smiles and hugs with me, and okay with my dad... and then my mom... oy, they all just glare then go cook. Its almost schizophrenic the way they shift.
I do hope you get along with your parents though. Haven't let circumstances put a wedge there?

I didn't get that far, but that pear butter episode almost got me. When Apple bloom approach her grandpa for the second time almost did it for me.
The fan stuff on pear butter episode episode for me was almost just twisting the knife. The guilt he must feel for never knowing his grandkids... Sad.
