Those two words were ones mage never wanted to hear in this time of her life, she was completely alert, her full attention was on the doctor that was standing in front of her and Eddie while they were both sitting on the bench. Eddies paw resting on her stomach as mage placed her own paw on top of his. “I’m sorry...” the doctor said, looking down at their clipboard. Mage had recently visited the hospital for a checkup to see if her eggs were ok since she’s been feeling sharp shooting pains and a dull ache from time to time. “But you seem to be experiencing magic fluctuation, the magic in your body that keeps your eggs at comfortable size is fluctuating, which is causing the sharp pains and frequent stomach aches. This is usually caused by thing like work overload large amounts of stress. I suggest you spend the next week or so at home, but if it gets worse, you might have to go through surgery to get the eggs safely removed. If you have any concerns feel free to drop by, I hope you both have a good day and make sure to get plenty of sleep.” The Doctor then gave them a copy of the diagnostic he had, along with some recommendations. After signing some papers they left the clinic. Mage tried her best to stay calm and just to read the instructions, but it was hard. The thought of surgery plagued her mind, but her thoughts soon disappeared when she felt Eddie grab her free paw that wasn’t holding the paper, she could feel how tense he was.
