Cinder stayed in his room days, coming out only to eat and talk with his nephew and daughter. His state didn’t get drastically worse but it was still getting worse little by little, Takara eventually convinced Cinder to go to quarantine. Cinder knew that Takara didn’t want him to go either but it was for the better, better safe than sorry...right? By this point cinder gave up on putting on clothes or saving his tang top and he didn’t want to ruin the few amounts of clothing he had. The day he left was hard for him. He wouldn’t see his daughters smiling face every morining and he wouldn’t be able to sit down and have tea with Takara. Before he left his room for the last time in a while, he grabbed the necklace sitting on his nightstand. As he made his way to the front door he heard a familiar voice behind him
”w-where are you goin dad?” He spun around and saw his daughter, she has recently grown one of those tail hands which cinder reassured her it was completely normal. “I’m going to town, so hopefully can get better” he bent down on one knee, holding back a cough. “B-but da-“ “I’ll be ok sunshine, I’ll be back...I promise.” He took the necklace and put around his daughters neck. “Keep this with you always, you mother gave me this necklace quite a long time ago before you were even born, it’s so a piece of us will always be with you. I love you my sunshine, don’t ever forget that.” And with that he got up and left the house. Not looking back.

Eventually Cinder made it to town where he was immediately brought to quarantine for treatment. He saw some familiar faces as the helpers ushered him to an empty makeshift bed. He seemed to sit there for ages until it was pitch black outside, he could only see the light from lanterns outside and some Loomees that occasionally fluttered by. It was heartbreaking seeing all of the sick Wyngro with him, especially all of the children. It made him think about blackbird, hopefully Takara will be ok with taking care of her. The soft glow that came from his eyes helped him see his surroundings a little bit which wasn’t that great. But he tried to cancel the sounds of coughing Wyngro and muffled voices as he layed down and tried to go to sleep.
