I've been a terrible perfectionist with this first batch of Grimoirekin so I apologize for the delay! I just want to make sure they're as beautiful as I can make them for their grand debut!

Do you use Photoshop for your work?
And I'm glad you like the snippit! I was really considering how much I should put into it personality-wise. Decided just to go with the 'feel' of the Dimension which I think is the right amount of info.

I used to use photoshop, but was never happy with it. Never felt like I accomplished things when I drew them, and could never find a brush I liked using. I just recently switched over to Sai and I like it much better for sketching, lineart, coloring, and clouds. Haven't figured out how to make fire with it yet, somehow made some on an adoptable design a day or so ago but can't remember how I did it lol. I need to get it from my brother again cos I plan on making animated icons and journal doll things later on.
I think adding bits of personality into a design makes it worth more. So its not just some sparkly cool design but feels like a real, living character

I found SAI to be a tad limiting. I think I'll make a fire tutorial this weekend in that case hehe!
I definitely agree with you about shiny, unidimensional adoptables though I do find some people give too much information and there's no room for the adopter to flesh out their own interpretation of the character.
