Yeah, I´m trying to get out of that dark place, and also hold out a hand and actually LET people help me out of there...It´s a lot harder then it sounds when you are used to try and save yourself!

I think it takes time dear and why small steps are important just little steps little goals that when you do them give you a sense of achievement and that warm fuzzy feeling inside of "I did it"
but no one can do that for you.. you must do it for yourself all anyone can do is give you encouragement to take those little steps to find a better place for your thoughts and mind...sometimes if you understand the mechanism of why or how you got there you better equipped to understand what you need to do to get out of it
(or stop you falling in it)
Also professional help is in serious cases a must
well in any case really to be evaluated on whats needed as treatment
but thats may take on the black dog anyway
Sometimes thats a first step to anything, understanding we do need help and allowing other to help us..
yeah I am fiercely independent too..not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing...in this case probably bad
