I think its the eyes getting them I think is the trick
I think you did a good job of the light and shadow and blending to the BG
To be honest its not far off what you wanted in my uneducated opinion
Its amazing just how much visual information our brains suck in in an image that we dont realize... makes the different between what we see as real and not ...stuff we just cant but into words but we just know at a glance
I very much love the Art dear... it has a nice peaceful feel
