Ecstasy is faceless, flawed and cracked?
Surprisingly enough on some levels that's pretty accurate.
I am also amazed that even without eyes and a nose that the face is still beautiful...that's so intriguing.
Lovely work....I like this very much

Oh yes, it's amazing. I am trying to interpret the concept of the one strand of pink coming from the right of her head and the tiny black spider coming from the left. I went to the website you linked to as well....it's so refreshing to be able to hover over a piece of art like that and view the brush strokes. Up close the cracks in the forehead almost seem like they are peeling away. I like your vision and I am now watching you....and will go look at the rest of your gallery.

For me the very first impression expanded by other thoughts is the essence of surrealism and more or less in symbolism. It's independent of an author. Pink line can be just a contrast, it may be something else, even nothing. Spider? About what do you think when you see a spider?

My perception.....as they relate to the concept of Ecstasy.
- The white powder covering the pink skin and cracking and flaking away...ecstasy can be faked and it's hard to maintain the lie.
- the spider...deception....pulling a person in and trapping them in the delusion
- pink line...on its own nothing but it is only errant piece of colour in the piece...it doesn't belong...to an analytical person like me it says "if it doesn't fit there, why is it there, look closer to everything else...find the reason. If something is out of place maybe everything is out of place...a lie, a deception, an entrapment.
The more I look at this piece the more I don't think of it in terms of passion....I think of it in terms of commercialism and commerce....(buy me..I'll make you happy..for awhile)
I love how this piece makes me think....I may look at it tomorrow and not even feel the same way. Thank you for this. The work is exquisite, provocative and enlightening.

And this is it, I made it as a monument of some person I know, and I had my reasons. You are a stranger, you do not know us, but you can see, something similar, something (what I appreciate the most) totally new. Someone else will look at it and see another things, or maybe nothing. I'm trying to create a carrier of emotions stimulated by symbols and form.
