Description The semester has ended and the holidays are winding down so it's about time I got back to all the incomplete projects that aren't requests

I was pretty meh on Lurantis when it was first revealed but it has grown on me.  It must have been the striped pantaloons.  Or perhaps it's just cool all around.

Pokemon belongs to Game Freak/Nintendo

Whitney's Miltank 2.0? Or Torracat Inferno Overdrive bait?

Actually, my equivalent to Whitney's Miltank was... "Seeee meeee?" Stupid Haunter Hypnosis antics... >_>

Even if you have something that could use Inferno Overdrive there is always that chance of a Trumbeak Rock Blasting it into oblivion

Totem Mimikyu screwed me over more times than I care to admit

Like dang why is this AI so smart

Momotaros (my Torracat) one-shotted Totem Lurantis on the first turn, before it got a chance to call in Trumbeak or "oh Arceus HOW IS CASTFORM A THREAT". Mimikyu is dastardly well set up, as Disguise blocks the first hit, (barring Mold Breaker) and its Lum Berry cures the first status inflicted to keep it from calling in its speedy ghost buddies that really want your Pokemon to sleep. And of course the one Pokemon whose type combination resists Mimikyu's isn't found in Alola. (Litleo/Pyroar)

That said, once I caught a Mimikyu of my own I quite enjoyed it. Spoopychu put in a lot of good work for how late it came, something I wish near anything on Poni Island could say. Akala gave me Shark Bait. (Wishiwashi... whose limited move pool is mitigated by an ungodly early Scald TM. BP 80 and 30% chance to burn what doesn't fall to School Forme's crazy high Special Attack? Yes please!)

Bouncee has surprising value for Rapid Spinning Kukui's Stealth Rock away, something I salute the AI doing first turn with Lycanroc. Its flawless Attack IV and Adamant nature also help. (the no good HP IV... not so much)

I would have done the same with a Salandit, but of course I underestimated Trumbeak and had to go through the typical tank + revive tactic to be able to send her out and successfully use the Z-Move

Mimikyu wasn't even that much of a problem since I had Decidueye and Salazzle but y'know, every possible Haunter and Gengar made sure Mimikyu would never get hit  And shoutout to Wishiwashi too for being ridiculously tanky

On the topic of great Pokemon I can't not mention how much Lycanroc was a real bro for me.  Midnight form took a lot of hits while tearing through the majority of important people

Midday buried Totem Salazzle in a Tomb... of rocks. Speedy she-devil, but MAN can she not take a hit! It pained me to have to box it, but between it, Litten, and Magnemite... a wee bit too many common weaknesses to Ground and knowing Hapu specialized in it

I can see Totem Lurantis being the Whitney's Miltank 2.0, as Power Herb Solar Blade until Castform has the sun come out to let it have one turn Solar Blades all the time. And Synthesis for vast recovery. And Leaf Guard so you can't status it while the sun shines. At least with Miltank Onix and Geodude never give two Muk what that damn cow is doing and can use Rock Smash to whittle its defenses down.

Would've thought a Darkest Lariat or Malicious Moonsault could've taken the adorable terror out, but noo... Hypnosis and then Play Rough while Momotaros is stuck sleeping. I think Magneton managed to break on through with Flash Cannon once Hypnosis missed. (60 accuracy my butt)

Thank Arceus the support Alomomola never thought to try Heal Pulse on Totem Wishiwashi... O_O Shame I couldn't introduce Lana to my own big fish... not that I'd be able to command Kyogre at that point, and I don't think the Blue Orb can be bought before the post-game, though it wouldn't stop it from calling down the Thunder.

Eh, I'm still pretty meh about it to be honest. I'm not a big fan of its pantalones, heheh. Although I can see why it would grow on you...

It is a Grass Type.

If only it got Superpower to boost those stats some more with Contrary(likely when tutors are released in Stars since Superpower is literally Beast power or Idiot power in Japanese. That's wi Scizor gets it.)
