Now that song is stuck in my head.....
A unique trap to say the least but it's incredibly impractical for many different reasons.
For one it and the platform holding the water look incredibly unstable and both could seemingly be tipped over with ease.
2 a red hot button would most likely be way too hot to simply press even for a few seconds.
3 the glass and metal supports for the chamber look way too flimsy even for the weight of the water alone if it didn't tip itself over at the top for being too heavy.

That's what the base around her neck is for-to stop the water dropping down onto the switch. So she either has to hold down the burning switch with her foot, or let the part of the tank with her head in fill up and drown her.

I know this is old, but I'll try to explain. The water will never touch the button.
She has to keep her foot on the heated button to stop the water flowing, the button controls a valve in the tank above her head. If the pressure is released from the button, the valve will open and it will start to flow.
The part of the tank that her body is in is separated from the part with her head. This means that water will fill the top of the tank, drowning her, but it will not go down to where her feet and the button is.

A great idea! When finally the upper part is flooded, she can still survive: Holding her breath and swallowing enough water to reach the surface, will save her from drowning. IΒ΄d love to see her face while having to do that. LOL.
