So I started watching the Pokemon anime again (mostly, at least it's something to do while you're stuck inside) and I'm quite fond of Go. He's a great character and very compatible with Ash imo.I guess the drawing on the right is a reference to his bashful side or how we all thought he was a girl, myself included!
