Description
Out of fear I have taken the choice to help the doctors, for I run from the fear of death. That death of others and myself. There is no death I won't fear.I can't stand the sound of it, the smell, the sight... How horrible it is to experience the scene of another's death, especially at such a young age...
I had to bear watching my own mother be killed before me. The shock I suffered has made me a coward in front of this kind of situation, and so I shall not fight or kill, instead, I shall help the wounded, the brave souls who fight to keep us safe...
How long has it been since I stepped foot in the medical tent this morning? It already seems like night has fallen upon Tao, though everyone says it is an illusion caused by the very monsters attacking the village. Yellow eyed Zoroark who tie their manes with beads as yellow as their soulless eyes. I'd rather not think about them. I must focus on the task at hand, and that is to help these injured fighters.
More and more of them kept coming and so I've been told to attend to them myself while the profesionals handle the more important jobs. I saw the tent flaps fly open as more Pokemon were being brought in. Each being rested on any blanket that was empty.
I noticed one who wasn't yet attended by any of the other helpers. Splashes of crimson stained his long white fur, mostly around his face and stomach. I could almost feel his pain as he winced every so often. I sat on my knees as I approached him and began to examine the wounds.
Taking a cloth dabbed in alcohol I cleaned the blood. His body became tense from the stinging of the alcohol, and so I spoke in a soft voice attempting to calm him down. "Don't worry, it'll only sting for a bit."
I tried to hurry so that he wouldn't have to bear the stings for too long and finished by wrapping some temporary bandages around his left eye and then his torso to stop the bleeding. "It won't be long before the doctors tend to your wounds."
"T-Thanks..." He said quietly.
I smiled, happy to see that he was feeling better. "Your welcome."
I didn't wan't to leave him, just to make sure he wouldn't try to stand up and break the bandages unintentionally, so I thought I'd try to make a bit of a conversation to keep him busy. "So, what's your name?"
"Andre." He replied.
"Amy." I replied, letting him know my name. "Well Andre, you're really brave to have fought out there." Truly I did look up to those who took the decision to fight.
A short while afterwards, all the activity in the tent came to an abrupt stop. A loud shout from outside the tent alerted everyone inside.
"Vat are you all standing for? There is many injured pokemon to attend to! No time for ze wasting!" Dr. Quak shouted, getting everyone back to work and leaving the shout uninvestigated.
I wasn't about to ingore it. What if somebody was hurt? I have to go and help!
