No, this was not made recently, don't worry commissioners. I've been hot on your orders and been too busy working on those to have made this fellow just recently.
ANYWAY
This is one of my newer wildlings, he was a MYO originally with just the ear wing trait, but then the amazing StarkindlerStudio created a whole new trait (the pinfeather trait for the butt wings) and when I heard of it, I was like "dude, I've been making this phoenix wildling for a while but couldn't find the drive to finish him, YOU GAVE ME REASON TO"
I got permission to use this trait of course, and officially, the design Starkindler pumped out is THE first wildling hosting the beautiful trait.
It's going to be such an amazing feature for wildlings, I can't wait to see more wildlings with them over time ♥ It makes the wings even cuter and adds a neat unique flair to the trait as a whole!

Rory comes up with such amazing stuff to decorate this species I swear, be it clothes, markings or new traits now!
His warm tones were both inspired by general phoenix's and a phoenix mount I own on Tera on the PS4 :v
He was actually gonna have a lot more browns to him because of how the mount looked but it didn't really work with how warm the rest of his palette was.
I need to accessorize him sometime though and I DONT KNOW WHAT WOULD LOOK GOOOOOD ON HIM

Better not so much brown, it has become a stunning phoenix-like wildling this way. His markings and colours are so beautiful that it would be a shame to cover them with too many accessories. I would just add some jewels or gold in a fine golden ribbon along the neck and a leg maybe? IDK. Either way you have a wonderful taste for accessories. Whatever you come up to it will look very nice for him?

I'm glad to see him finished too, it was weird how I lost motivation to finish him for a while there, but man seeing that trait really cooked new ideas into me, especially realizing that philoden butt wings as a whole would have been a nifty add on as well for a crazy bird theme like a phoenix! :v
Now I need to accessorize him somehow, hmmm

I knowwww, I wanted to finish him so bad for so long but man I did NOT know how to bring more life into him.

His normal design (without the new trait) was like, collecting all the dust for so long in my folders cuz I had absolutely no motivation for some reason at one point.
When Rory showed that trait it kind of just lit something inside me x'D
She's good at reigniting my motivation in art and designing, it's fantastic.
