you did a cut-out of the pencil drawing in photoshop and coloured the background on a separate layer right?... the creature seems to hover over the surface as cast- and bodyshadow do not harmonize everywhere ... but great concept ... colours and rendering are awesome!

hahaha!yeah... thats what i did. I scanned my pencil drawing then cut out the creature and colored from there, i tried to preserve the grain of the paper and the textures created with my pencil. Im not very good with environments yet so i decided to just slap on some color that wont be painful to the eyes and throw in a few shadows. I've been told my cast shadows weren't the most accurate... hahaha!
