#RodentChallenge

Continuing the theme of stylistic inspiration from Angelic (you read it here!) , I have finally made my entry for the Rodent Challenge!

The fur colors of this chubby bab here is based on my own hair, which is black (or super dark brown, rather XD) with natural reddish brown highlights. She also has eyes based on my own eyes. I really enjoyed drawing her and she may make future returns to my gallery

I spelled "Collect" wrong aoshfasoiiosa

Interesting Beaver Facts

* Beavers mate for life, and a dam may be started by a lone male seeking a partner or a young couple. Their future family will consist of themselves, their young kits, and yearlings."

*  Beavers have a set of transparent eyelids that make it possible to see under water

*  The teeth of the beaver never stop growing, so they must gnaw on wood often to keep them from growing too large

* Beavers use their large, scaly flat tails for steering while swimming, balance while standing, and for slapping on surfaces to warn of danger.

*  According to mentalfloss.com , "giant beavers of the Ice Age, known as “Castoroides,” looked remarkably similar to their modern descendants—just much, much bigger. They grew to be up to 8 feet long and 200 pounds and lived a semi-aquatic life."

* There was once and ancient myth that male beavers bit off their own testicles to avoid them being stolen from humans that wanted them for castoreum oil.

* According to mentalfloss.com, "They secrete a goo that smells like vanilla...it’s sometimes used in vanilla flavorings. Castoreum is a chemical compound that mostly comes from a beaver’s castor sacs, which are located under the tail. It is secreted as a brown slime that's about the consistency of molasses and smells like musky vanilla..."
