It's been a while since the last one came out (2008)
And no, I'm not counting Skylanders as a Spyro game. Spyro isn't even a part of it
Too bad Insomniac decided to stop making Spyro games, they thought they couldn't go further with him
I'm not so pleased with Spyro in the second panel for some reason...

If ever I get into entertainment business, I'd 100% support another real Spyro game and a good one. The way I'd do it is a mixture between the Classic and Legend style but with its own elements added as well. And yes, I'd include moneybags. As a merchant who overprices his stuff and follows Spyro and company everywhere to milk him for money, forcing you to spend your gems on his spells and keys to progress. People would be like "Ah we missed ya Moneybags you big lugging' bear and your greedy antics. Now take my money so I can take it all back from you later in the most epic way." Maybe even have him sell health items hinting he doesn't want his cash cow to drop dead all of a sudden. THAT feature alone (being moneybags) would pump us full of nostalgia. Not the only one I'd use though.

the LoS games, dawn of the dragon, which by all rights is an amazing game, even if Activision was just
the publisher.

It's not a sequel. It's just a reboot that did not go according to plan. Or did it? (Points at a pile of money and toy sales records)
It just didn't live up to our expectations. I won't play it because A: he shouldn't even be in it because Skylanders became its own thing ruining our childhood for possibly ever. And B: money issues. Having to buy a toy and stand thing on top of the game just to play it. Not my style. you buy a game you expect it to let you play and not say "You cannot play without a this and/or a that attached". And C: the gameplay while it looks fun to interact with does not live up to my expectations. I expect a platforming system allowing you to jump. You can play as these versions of Spyro and Cynder allowing you to fly while using the run button but you can't fly over a broken bridge or turtle you should be able to jump over. Something they managed to learn for later games. But we don't want more of those. Do we?
