Well because he's not using it, those lines are only activated when it's being used since the Monsters in Underbeats have constant music playing within their soul. That line, my little friend, is an indication of their life line. You'll understand soon when I release one particular comic I have in mind.

Patience, when you draw, take your time, there's no need to really rush. Art comes when it's ready. As you draw more you learn something new, but there are cases that when you take a long rest from drawing you get better when you start to draw again. I'm actually still learning as I draw... and we can never draw alike since we all have different styles when drawing, we have our different comforts while sketching. That's what makes artists unique and that's what makes you unique as well. If you really have the passion to draw you will gather and research all you need to learn from anatomy to colors, hair flows and the folds of clothes, even body language, dynamic poses and facial expression. Trust me, as I said before, an artist doesn't get good in one day. So stay determined .
