Work on flow and blending. Currently the smudging is all over the place and very messy looking. The colours don't match the palette the focal has. They shouldn't be exactly the same but they should never look like two different things. I'd also try out some different smudge settings to figure out what works best for you. Look around on dA to find some smudging tutorials, use their settings (and take some pointers from the tutorial itself), and try to find something you're comfortable with and that gives you the look you want to achieve. Keep it up.
