Meet Nyx! A half demon half human mix

Nicknames: The Dalmatian

NYX CANNOT HIDE HIS HORNS OR TAIL

Since Nyx cannot hide his horns or tail he needs to wear a headpiece in order to safely go outside, he is mainly confined to being indoors due to his wrecklessness and curiosity of the humans.

Nyx is only allowed outside shortly after he has eaten as his skin will be the least darkly pigmented/more human looking and he cannot stay outside for long.

He has full control of his tail, being a very powerful set of muscles Nyx can use it to pick things up as well as strike with it. Nyx's tail does have bones but they are extremely bendy and versatile, allowing Nyx to coil his tail around with ease, this means he can tightly coil his tail up and flatten it to his back in order to conceal it. This leaves an awkward lump near his lower back that can either be covered with a loose fitting jumper, a thick coat or a backpack etc.

Nyx has slight control over his horns, while he cannot get rid of them he can flatten them to his head or make them stand up more, the taller Nyx's horns are the more confident he is feeling, he also makes his horns stand tall as tall horns are seen as attractive where he comes from

I wasnt happy with how his demon form looked so im going to draw it seperately at some point : p

Age: Unknown - Immortal age wise but can be killed by another demon, he has very human characteristics but is much hardier than a human and can sustain much more bodily damage before he succumbs to his wounds. Nyx's skin becomes almost bulletproof when in his true demon form but his skin can still be broken.

Sex: Male

Sexuality: Pansexual/Omnisexual

Relationship status: Taken

Personality: Shy and skittish especially in a foreign environment, he can stand up for himself and gets confused easily when met with confrontation, being scared and confused Nyx can respond agressively to the slightest threat, i.e. shouting, loud sounds.

Nyx has a very predatory tuned brain and watching something running or scattering can cause him to chase/hunt.

The state of Nyx's skin can hint towards how hungry he is i.e. the more blackened his skin is the closer he is towards starvation, his skin colour can also change depending on predatory response [Mentioned above] or anger so its important to try to tell if hes really hungry or just angry before deciding what to do.

If you can stay away from Nyx in his demon form for a short period of time you will be safe as it takes a lot of energy for him to turn into this creature and his body uses it as a last resort in order to have a massive burst of all of his final energy in order to catch and eat something before he dies from starvation.

Another key feature of distinguishing starvation from anger:

Starving: Pupils and eye colour slowly become washed out/yellowing of eyes, can be seen becoming less comprehensive of his surroundings, almost drunk on hunger in his transition before coming back with increasingly heightened senses. When changing in this way Nyx becomes distressed and will quickly and messily hunt out for food in the area, if in a house this means making an absolute mess of the place trying to find any source of meat. Pigment spreads across the skin in matter of months. Can take up to 61 days for transformation to occur. Period of transformation can happen between the 41-61 day without food. Any time before that Nyx will seem more aggitated or distressed. Transforming is extremely unpleasant and distressing for Nyx. Nyx can dissapear for weeks if he is slowly starving and can endanger himself by trying to hunt humans if it meant he could eat.

Its important to note that nyxes hair can grow rapidly depending on his emotional state, when he is angry or about to transform his hair will be seen to grow, his hair growth is not dramatic but you can tell that it gets longer. Nyxes hair can go from being shaven to being a full head of hair in a very short space of time given certain circumstances that dramatically effect his emotional state, as a demon [when he was in constant demon state] his hair would not be seen growing or regressing very much as his emotions dont really play into anything when he is full demon but as a human nyx can be very emotional, it can cause his hair to flop down or become more fluffy when he is distressed, or feeling emotional his hair takes a while to go backwards from growing out hence why he can be seen with slightly longer hair for a while after feeding.

If Nyx eats tainted meat [The meat of an impure human or demon/ demon mix] it causes him to stay in his demon form [meaning in his home realm he was permenantly in demon state due to having to fight and kill other demons in order to eat] Being in demon state means Nyx is needlessly hungry and agressive, killing to overeat and grow. Nyx was a much larger and more aggressive and mindless beast in his home realm. He came to be a much more placid character when he first transitioned to the human world, killing a rabbit and eating its pure flesh, changing his form into something more human.

Angry: Eyes stay the same, if recently eaten pigment can spread quickly across his skin which is not the case if hes starving.

Likes: Blueberries, Cold weather/snow Coffee [Black], Peppers, Raw fish, Bones, Alcohol, Raw meat.

Nyx is still trying new foods but at a slow rate as many things humans eat can make him very ill, if Nyx becomes sick he is more likely to turn into his demon form due to having an empty stomach

Nyx can safely consume rotten meat but it hardly provides any sustinance

Dislikes: Strong fragrances, Loud sounds [Can enduce rage and agression until the sound is stopped] Cooked meat [Can cause Nyx to become violently ill], Chocolate is poisonous for Nyx, He doesnt like clothes but will wear them, he prefers harem pants and very loose fitting clothes, tight clothes make him very uncomfortable.

Nyx has very little control over what he can choose to consume when he is in demon form and will desperately search out any source of fresh meat, it is very rare that Nyx can stop himself from harming people close to him when he is starving but its possible for him to repress his urges.

Nyx will eat raw meat in packages or meat that has been previously frozen but nothing makes him happier than fresh meat still warm from the blood pumping through the animals veins.
