UPDATE: I actually came second!
cobravenom.deviantart.com/jour… This is my entry for CobraVenom 's Contest ( cobravenom.deviantart.com/jour… ) and features her character Alvaro.
The keywords given for the character were: Adventurous, Daring, Desert, Approaching Storm, Cliffs, Chase, Dune, Watcher
I tried to somewhat incorporate them all - I hope successfully so!
Painting that background was a battle.
But I'm quite happy with how that cliff in the foreground came out. Lately I have been avoiding backgrounds a lot, but for this piece I pushed myself a bit. It certainly could be better, but I'm getting there. 
Painted entirely in PS this time (no SAI), and enjoyed that a lot more than I thought I would! Photoshop, my old friend, I'm back. 
In other news: Semester break is finally here! I definitely want to use this one to a) improve my programming skills
and b) definitely draw and paint a lot, especially different types of animals and backgrounds ... So hopefully you can finally expect some more art! I've been really lazy lately, but now it's time to get working again!!Character design © CobraVenom

Der Hintergrund ist toll geworden! Vor allem Himmel und Felsabsatz im Vordergrund sind dir gut gelungen. Und erst die Farben.
Es ist wirklich bemerkenswert, wie sehr du dich in letzter Zeit verbessert hast - vor allem bezogen auf die Linienführung bei deinen Charakteren, die viel dynamischer und weicher ist. Mir gefällt die Richtung, in die sich dein Stil entwickelt.
