Ooooh nice! I'm curious though, why non-cannon avali? Do the actual ones not fit well into your story in some way?

There are a lots of things I wanted to avoid, such as the eternal "what do avali eat/drink/breathe" thing; I also wanted to make every race in this setting able to live in the same environments, because having to make almost everyone wear hazmats suits would kinda ruin the entire first arc (for aesthetic reasons, and more)
And the lack of wings was due to a common mistake in my works, I kept forgetting the wings when drawing avali. And I decided to keep it, because not only it makes things a lot simpler (in regard to both anatomy and clothing) but I also quite like this
I pretty much got the authorization to use this avali variant in my works, as long as I don't claim it to be canon (which I am not stupid enough to do)
Whowever, I do keep the social aspects of the avali culture, which is to my eyes more important than what they eat and breathe.
