Bio/Backstory:

Tobi is a young scholar who comes from a poor background, she spent her younger years trying to help support her mother. The role of supporting Tobi and her mother mostly fell to her older siblings, though she did try her hardest to help whenever she could, until she was sent to school.
She received a scholarship and was selected to enter University by her Mentor (Professor Larch) and fellow scientist at the age of 14, where she graduated at the age of 18.
Upon her graduation, Tobi joined the same company that Professor Larch works for; working as a travelling field scientist. She has spent the past five years travelling across the regions in search for various and unusual plants to aid in her research, for medicines and potions, for rare illnesses and severe long term injuries and often contacts her mentor/boss to share whatever data she has collected. Sometimes she'll return home to better share her research and receive advice from the Professor as well as visit her mother.
In order to fund her travels and care for her Pokemon, she partakes in battles whenever she can. Sometimes sending what she can back home to continue helping her mother and family.
Along her travels she sometimes encounters bandits and thieves, sometimes sent to sabotage, steal or persuade her to hand over her research for other companies.

Tobi was given time off from work to travel to the region of Summerset in hopes of finding new plants to aid in her research. Tobi is also hoping that she can help give her company the exposure it needs if she should win the Hyperion competition.

Personality:

Often energetic and happy, she’s usually only ever serious when it comes to her research or battles. Though she is a scientist, she can be quite fearful of new experiences (e.g. Sky diving, Bungee jumping, etc). She will, however, do anything and everything possible for her research and in the name of science.

She’s Intelligent but gullible and will often fall for even the most obvious trick. Luckily her best friend Taro keeps her from getting into any serious trouble.
Tobi is open minded and always eager to learn more. With this comes her persistence, though can be a good thing, it is sometimes her downfall.
She can also be defensive, often giving excuses and reasoning’s for even the simplest of mistakes. Mostly due to her upbringing, she can be considered kind and caring.
She also values close bonds and considers her Pokemon team mates family.

Bio:

Tobi's starter and best friend, he first met her as a young Croagunk when she was at the age of 10.

Taro enjoys battling and usually becomes extremely excited and full of energy during battle, which sometimes unsettles his opponents.
Outside of battle he's strangely quiet and calm, sometimes adapting a grumpy attitude when he doesn't have much to do.

He doubles as Tobi's bodyguard during her travels since she carries valuable plant samples and equipment.
He enjoys spicy and tongue numbing sour treats and foods.

Bio:

Kaelan was gifted to Tobi as a Kabuto by her mentor upon graduating from Uni.

He is always quiet, serious and reserved, however he is quite glutenous.
Often preying on small bug pokemon, whenever he is outside of his pokeball, or ransacking Tobi's bags for food or snacks.

Though he tries not to show it (and actually finds public affection embarrassing) his ego does boost easily with praise.
A few good words and he's strutting the grounds like a freshly groomed Furfrou.

Bio:

He first met Tobi as a bayleef along with his best friend Mars.
Major and Mars grew curious and befriended Tobi while she was camping to study local plants, he decided to join her and Taro on her journey across the regions.
He is considered the tank of the team and works better in a double battle with Mars as his support.

Major travels along side Taro and Tobi, carrying the camping gear, lab equipment and plant samples. (Most of which were sent back home for safe keeping).

Unlike Mars, he is quite confident in his power and ability and likes to display this in and out of battle.
This sometimes gets Tobi in to trouble when he tries to impress other pokemon (especially females) with his power outside of battle.

Bio:

He met Tobi as a Bayleef with Major. He was initially reluctant to join Tobi's team, however he didn't want to part ways with Major.
He soon became comfortable with Tobi and grew closer to her over the years.

Mars is Major's better half and partner in battle, he plays as the support in their duo during battle.

Mars is quiet and meeker than Major, often watching from the side lines and only intervening should there be any immediate danger to his team mates or trainer.
He loves affection and will often seek attention from Tobi for it.

Bio:

Met Tobi while she was camping and was attracted by the smell of food.
Both hungry and desperate she attacked Tobi and her camp. Tobi and Taro fought against her and caught her upon winning.

After she was healed and fed she became calm but wary. It took a while for her to grow accustomed to Tobi and her team, but later became comfortable along the years.
Being mostly nocturnal, Maki stays up during the night to keep watch over the camps.
She doesn't mind staying watch by herself, she rather likes the piece and quiet that comes along with the post.

Maki is very prideful of her looks and loves getting her mane/fur brushed. She is very short tempered and easy to anger, especially if one were to cause her mane to become unsightly.

Bio:

The "baby" of the team. She is the newest addition to Tobi's team, having met her a year prior during one of her travels.
She stumbled among Tobi and her small caravan and initially attacked out of fright. She was caught upon her defeat.

Utatci became calm when she was revived back to good health. She helps Tobi in her search for various types of plants and roots using her incredible sense of smell.

She is timid and easy to frighten, but is extremely affectionate and sweet, she especially enjoys giving crushing hugs to her team mates and trainer.
She can sometimes over come her fear when her team mates and trainer are threatened, thus becoming very aggressive and protective.

Just added a little more to her bio as well as her teams' bio's to hopefully give a better idea on their personalities and stuff.

I thought to change Taro's move set a little too, I exchanged Sucker punch for Poison jab.
