i read a bunch of novels recommended by a friend of mine (me is being dragged into fandom by friends too lol). currently i'm reading "Picked up by the Protagonist of a Tormented! I just thought that might've been the case since xie lian wasn't sure whether he was human or not when he met him first as san lang. After that he did see it was hua cheng. Yayy Qi rong! I disliked him at first, but he has nice character development (?). Actually he never changes during the story but his role changes a lot everytime, which is very interesting imo. And yea, hua cheng gets more angry than Xie Lian himself when someone offends Xie lian. Nope still haven't read mdzs. I'm reading the other novel I told you about and it's so sweet omg

I read HOB in raw and I finished it already. I can understand Chinese but sometimes it's difficult to understand (novels have some ancient terms and phrases somtimes) so I usually prefer to read translated. But HOB is just too good and I couldn't wait.
Qi Rong is a big piece of shit but he's funny because he's helpless in front of hua cheng but can't stop being an asshole

hhhhhhhhh the one by kbshinya is one of my favourite. the voice actors for xie lian and hua cheng in that song are so fdkgjnzser *melt* PERFECT! i'm in love with that hua cheng song. i hope his voice would be like that in the anime too

hahaha yes, that's why i hope they don't cut out much this time. in HOB they don't do anything more than kiss (well they don't mention it openly at least). and related to it, there's one of the funniest moments in the novel imo XD i'm so upset that in mdzs they pruposedly cut out every single part where it was at least a bit BL. and they're doing a second season this year. dude there's nothing else to cut. i'm worried! i hope they don't start changing the story at this point, because all the other part they didn't show in anime are VERY BL???

I really hope so too. I even read some people suggesting they do a wuxian x yanli lovestory but that's hopefully far fetched. Uugh I'm gonna be so sad if they change the story to avoid BL! There were so many BL scenes that they could have made milder (so they won't get censored or cancelled) but still include. Especially what happens in the cave or wwx peeking at lwj bathing XD and them sleeping together. All of that is so hilarious and also a big part of the humour in the story imo.

oh, i was told the wei ying x yanli was for the live play, because the yanli actress paid for it to be a wei ying x yanli story. and that's how i decided i'm not gonna watch it lol i hate how they cut stuff... that's what the story is about, what's your problem? why make an adaption and not want a piece of it? i think one of the greatest talents of mxtx is to be able to put together various genres into the same story and not make them clash with each other. what's the meaning if you cut out half of the genres?

Yeah it makes totally sense. But I also can't imagine Huaisang being so mean and ruthless. But wwx is usually right with his assumptions T^T I honestly think xichen loved guangyao similar to wangji loving wei wuxian. But I don't think jin guangyao could love anyone. But I would have wished a happier ending for xichens sake. He's such a sweet innocent cinnamonroll. He deserves a lovestory like wwx and lwj

I'm not sure if xichen loved guangyao that much but it's sad seeing him depressed like that. Poor kid. But I really hope huaishang doesn't turn out to be guangyao#2 even if it makes sense, because it would be kinda boring for plot's sake

That's a good question. The transportation talisman requieres so much spiritual energy and maybe jgy couldn't do it because he's always been a bit weaker at cultivating?? Maybe xue yang was really dead and didn't count as person anymore?? No that doesnt make sense.I still feel like xue yang is alive. Although wangji said there's no chance.... but when they all were trapped at burial mount the corpses were controlled by the tiger seal and so far only xue yang could use it (apart from wei ying). I do not believe jin guangyao was able to use it having a tiny golden core and all. Also if nie huaisang was the mastermind behind that he would have almost killed himself weren't it for the wen-corpses.
