I don't understand why people hate Squirrelflight....I mean, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me. I mean here are most of the reasons why people usually hate her;
- She chose Brambleclaw over Ashfur.
What the fuck? Okay, Squirrelflight was clearly never happy with Ashfur. You can't force love for another cat. Its absolutely stupid and 'mousebrained'. She would have never been happy.
- She 'killed' Ashfur...
She never killed Ashfur. What the heck? Seriously? Did she tell Ashfur to go super phsyco after she chose Bramble? No. Did she tell him to attempt to kill Fire and her 'kits'? Nope. Honestly, it seems to me that Ashfur was in the wrong, not Squirrelflight. So I don't understand what she was wrong about, and why she should be hated.
- She lied to Bramble and everyone.
She lied because she wanted to protect her sister. If you have a sibling your very close to, and they weren't supposed to have any babys, would you not take them in and say their yours? Of course you would! Their family for christ sake!!! I mean, its common freaking sense. I don't like how she lied to Bramble, but I don't think she deserves to be hated. Its not her fault. I see no reason to hate her. Actually, I see reason to admire her courage of going through all of this, as well!
So yeah. Thats my opinion on Squirrelflight. Feel free to express yours, just be mature about it.

I never really liked Squirrel, And I love Ash. I can't say I hate her, but I do dislike her.
This is why:
She was really annoying, especially when she was an appretice.
If you think about it, she never really loved Ash from the start. she should have told him right away when she felt that way, and maybe then he wouldn't have gone all crazy, because he wouldn't have been so clingy to her yet. Instead, she waited awhile, which made Ash get even more clingy to her every day that passed.
And also, like you said, she lied to Bramble.
and that's why I dislike her.
But you can't exactly blame Ash for being upset. It was his first love. But I must say, he did go a little too crazy.
But like the Erins said, people/cats should listen to what he has to say, because he has a story of his own to tell.

Ashfur didn't have to take it that far though. And normal person would have greived for a bit, and then moved on, unlike Ashfur who in my eyes is given way to much credit because of how Squirrel 'hurt him oh so bad'. It makes me laugh.
And I respect you dislike Squirrel, I just think its unfair for others to hate her just because she lied to Bramble and everyone to protect her kits and sister. I find that highly honorable.
And her personality wasn't annoying, it was spunky and stubborn, and alot of people have it, lmao. I have it even, I was born with stubborness, even if I'm shy at first and outgoing later on.

to me Squirrel was annoying. And yesh, she was stubborn hahaha but im stubborn too. And I'm shy around new people as well but once I get to know Them, I'm happy and outgoing, but I don't get too crazy unless I'm really excited or happy. But still, I respect your opinion, but to me I think she should have told him she didnt love him sooner

Yeah Brightheart was okay. I don't have anything against her, I just never really cared for her. Idk.
And yeah I understand why people don't like Squirrel, I just think its irrational to say they hate her because she was making the decisions she thought were best to protect her sister and kits. :/

Well no one did accept him at first though. :/
He had to pretty much live with the weigh of the world on his shoulders and prove himself worthy of ThunderClan, I guess.
And he's not entirely perfect, seeing as he did train with his father in the dark forest.
Brambleclaw is probably my most respected character, really.
