Real Name: "Perry" Peridot [Pronounced "Pair-ree-dough"]
Nickname: Cougar
Height: 16.0 hh
Appearance: Rather tall for his pedigree (also considering the fact that he was a bit of a runt
at birth), muscular, Silver Smoky Black coat w/ a single pale stripe marking on his shoulder, lighter caramel-
colored mane and tail, light olivine/peridot green eyes, dark hooves, scratch scars across the left side of his face,
rip in his left ear
Breed: Morgan x Standardbred x Mustang
Age: 7
Personality: Cougar is usually cold-hearted towards anyone but the young man who raised
him; even his new permanent owner, the colonel. He is very obedient to the man, but is not his best friend. The
colonel gives him the simple care that he needs, and is normally a sort of hard-hearted person himself, therefore
the two do not get very close. Ever since he was shown love by the boy as a foal, it put hope into his heart that
he didn't have at first, and secretly he strived to be the best; his solid obedience to the main authority comes from
this, because he wants to show them they were wrong about him when he was born.
Even so, Cougar is still of the strong-and-silent type, keeping most of his feelings bottled up, seemingly cold and
emotionless to everyone except the boy. His true emotions come out when they are alone, where he is then a
happy, playful and a bit mischievous.
History: Born on a cavalry post in the western US, Cougar was a colt on the smaller side,
not appreciated by anyone really at his birth; except for one stablehand, a boy just coming of about 16 years old.
He took it as his own responsibility to raise and train the foal, showing him love and open arms. The boy named
the colt Peridot because of his unusually bright green eyes which resembled the gemstone, and nicknamed him
"Perry". As the colt grew, he became very attached to the boy, and the boy eventually became a young soldier;
Perry was his chosen mount, by then a fairly muscled-out 2 year old stallion.
One afternoon the colonel rode out with a group of soldiers in a patrol, the boy and Perry included. They were
beginning to set up camp at sunset when a cougar stalked nearby; another wary soldier caught its glowing eyes
and shot at it, missing, and causing the cougar to attack. The colonel was unexpecting, and was trapped under
the large cat, doing his best to hold away its snapping jaws and tearing claws. Perry stood nearby, held by his
rider, but broke loose, darting straight for the animal. Seeing the horse galloping their way, the cat tried his best to
evade him; but Perry was fast and caught up. In their scramble, Perry was scratched across the face by the
cougar, nearly blinding him in the left eye; but in the end, stomped the cat into the dirt, leaving him dead soon
after.
From that day on, the colonel wanted the young stallion for his own steed, and dubbed him "Cougar".
The young man who raised him still cares for him when he can, and visits him when no one is around, and deep
down, these secret meetings are the sweet happiness that keeps him going every day; but this tough stallion
would never let anyone know that.

I apologize if this is kind of sloppy and not that great, and if I'm not accurate about cougars or something Dx But it's what I cam up with. I'm really tired too so, that's why it probably sucks ahaa ;-;

Like seriously why do I never meet any attractive or cool guys who talk to me first
