FINALLY, I made a new design for Dan and Derpyhug who are more important reoccurring characters. So I thought they should get a redesign just like the others. Their designs before were really simplistic, and they depended more on their shape language to determine who they are. Yeah to reflect their personality, which I think the old designs did a good job on. But what about their purpose. What are they supposed to do? Well I explained this hundreds of times… but Derpyhug got a recent occupation, but I’ll recap… FOR THE HUNDREDTH TIME. Dan’s job is to be a fighter, while Derpyhug’s job is to be the scout. You can’t tell that Derpyhug likes reading, is a geographer, and has a passion for exploration in his old design. He was just a soft green turtleneck boy… which I really miss that turtle neck… Maybe once he’s at home and not on an adventure he wears it. And for Dan, well just by his limited color palette to red and black, and his sharp claws, you should already tell he has some sort of viciousness to him. But he could’ve had more to him. Also he wears a mask! He always had worn a mask because he’s faceless underneath. No one would tell he’s wearing a mask because it’s the same color as his whole body. Well people in his world would question why he wears a mask, but ya know, in this alien world, it should be normal. Plus I just want people know he can do more than peeling your face off.
So I just redesigned their outfits. Although, Dan’s outfit makes more sense than Derpyhug’s, because they’re both homeless 10 year olds who been abandoned for 5 years. So it would make sense that they wouldn’t have a fashion sense. But here… maybe Derpyhug is the one who has a fashion sense, because Derpyhug reads a lot of books, and maybe they picked up some pictures of explorers and took inspiration, while Dan put on anything he could find. Which was the intended purpose of their old outfits, cause it’s just their choice. BUt now, they’re more readable on what they do. Although Derpyhug breaks a rule in this universe of mine. Derpyhug is my only Twoverse character who wears pants. I didn’t wanted anyone to wear pants because I thought it was essential, since everyone is a alien, I thought they wouldn’t need it. But Derpyhug had to have pants because Explorers’ outfits relies on their pants. So Derpyhug should have some. I was gonna restrict pants to only superior people of power like the Chimchuks. But Derpyhug is breaking the rules here. I mean he been living homeless half of his life, but he’s the one whose supposed to be more law obeying and has a moral compass. But no, Derpyhug said “I’ll obey law, but not when pants are involved,”. Then there’s his friend next to him, Dan, whose committing every war crime in the universe, except wearing pants. These are possible redesigns and not permanent because there might be possible changes I want to make and I await for feedback if a general audience approves of this. Also I wanna list down the elements they’re supposed to have to tell about their character.

I also added more colors to them, the same treatment Aiden Got. I wanted to incorporate browns and some yellows to Derpyhug because Derpyhug is supposed to be humble, sweet, and “angelic” personality. So I wanted to give him a earth like color palette because not only he likes geography, but the earth is like….. ummm…. Nature is… nice? Actually nature is terrifying, but green is considered the nice color. But also i incorporated some yellow which is supposed to be gold because I also wanted to give him a heavenly palette, because heaven is supposed to be a nice place and stuff like Derpyhug. And for Dan. Oh his color palette was good enough. All edgelords are whores for red and black. And I wanted Dan to look like a demon from hell. Which he already looked like one, but I expanded that… pretty much dan was good enough. But his mask was gonna be white of course! Because it’s just a convenient color for masks, but also grabs all the attention from his reds and blacks to his face. Which is like his most important feature. I can already imagine him in a dark room that’s dimly lit, and how terrified you would be if you saw him in that room. But I was concerned about his eyes. His eyes look perfect, but I liked his eyes before because he blinked differently from everyone. He was the only character with visible eye lids, he blinked that way because it was supposed to be a hidden detail to prove he was wearing a mask. Maybe I would bring them back. But I dunno which ones are better, his new black semi circle eyes, or his original eye lid eyes that kinda look like Cutman’s. I also made his claws and talons black because they’re apart of his bone and his bones are black. And I dunno why I added those X’s to his left. I dunno what they are, ankle bracelets? I mean I think Dan would add them himself just because he thinks they’re cool just like the reason why he wore a red tie before. Why did he had a red tie. Well I was too attached to his EARLY EARLY design where he always wore a tie. But now I kinda want that tie to have a reason… And fun fact which has been an idea for awhile. If Dan wasn’t a psychopathic, murderous child, he would’ve been a pianist. Him and the group used to be in a band and he was the pianist. Dan used to have a passion for Piano, but ever since the group got into an argument and spilt up on bad terms. He became to vengeful and started dedicating his life to his culture’s fighting techniques so no one would fuck with him or Derpyhug.
