Description
It is common knowledge among the Ninjago community that Misako took Lloyd to Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys. After taking Lloyd to Darkly's, Misako took her daughter, Akari, to Ninjago City and gave her up to an orphanage. She expected to be back within a few years to get her back, but she was no longer there when she did. After many years, she admitted defeat and continued her research on the Prophecy. Little did anyone know, the lady taking care of Akari was very dangerous. Akari took action and left, and ended up living on the streets.
After the events of Season 2, Episode 18: "Child's Play" that made Lloyd older, this did not affect Akari in any way. Akari remained the same, which would mean no one would know that they are, in fact, twins.
Misako never mentioned Akari to anyone but Wu and Garmadon until after the events of Season 5, when she was finally recovered from an alley. Akari did not approve of being taken in by the Ninja. She knew who her mother was, and who her brother was but she blamed Misako for what happened back at the orphanage and blamed Lloyd for Misako leaving her in the first place. She was highly jealous of Lloyd, who received much attention and praise after the Final Battle, while she was dealing with a psychopath lady and living on the streets.
Akari has very similar abilities to Lloyd and has the same element, but she never has harnessed the power of the Golden Master and has yet to reach her True Potential.

Season 1

During the events of Season 1, Akari is now realizing the toxicity of the psychopath lady and is planning an escape.

Season 2
----------
At the beginning of the Season, she is learning about her heritage and her relationship to Lloyd. She begins assuming and blaming her problems on Misako and Lloyd, and sometimes even Garmadon.
In the end, she starts feeling sympathy for Lloyd when she finds out he has to fight their father, but her jealousy is much more abundant than her sympathy.

Season 3
----------
Akari's jealousy has completely consumed her daily activities and has gone as far as to travel to the Island of Darkness to unlock her True Potential. She figures that the Temple of Light can unlock her elemental powers. After it doesn't work, she becomes like Kai. She discovers other elemental masters and looks to them to try to find her True Potential, but they are very little help to her. Akari becomes so desperate, she has even started to stalk the Ninja for any sign to help her find her True Potential, and once even attempted to kidnap one of them to get answers out of them. This proved very difficult due to them constantly on the move and the problems with the Overlord.

Season 4
----------
After Zane's death, Akari decided to give up at this point and has begun her journey to forget her past and what she discovered about her heritage. During this period, she finds a passion for playing the piano and singing.

Season 5
----------
Akari continues learning the piano and singing, and develops skills for guitar and also trombone.

Season 6
----------
At this point, Akari is with the Ninja and has been very rude to them. Nya tries to be friendly to her and even has been giving her tips about special girly things but Akari does not give a single crap. All she cares about once again is finding her True Potential. Kai has been very concerned for Akari since he was the same way when he was trying to find his True Potential. At one point, she once tried jumping off the ship when they were flying over the fire temple, thinking she can find her True Potential there.
Akari is the only one of the Ninja, besides Nya and Jay, who was not tricked by Nadakhan the Djinn. She was not involved since she ran away to find her True Potential.

Day of the Departed

Akari spends the whole time trying to find her True Potential. Seriously.

Season 7
----------
She takes part in more of the fighting against Krux and Acronix, even though she is not much help, because she cannot use her elemental powers. Akari has calmed down about finding her True Potential and has finally grasped the fact that it will come when the time in right. She has also moved back with the Ninja and has warmed up to them. She has especially become fond of Nya and Kai. Nya is basically her best friend, and they talk about everything from crushes to how much they "hate literally everything". Everyone also teased Akari about having a crush on Kai. She does not, baka!
Things start getting serious, and she becomes highly depressed when Wu becomes ill, but she finds peace in trying her very hardest to defeat Acronix and Krux for what they have done to her beloved Sensei. She began having lessons with Wu to help her find peace with herself and to find peace in being the only one to not have found her True Potential.

Season 8
----------
When the Ninja dispersed before the beginning of the season, she was off with Nya, of course. When all of the Ninja united again, Nya encouraged her to hang out with Lloyd more often, and develop their relationship more. Of course, when they move into the Palace, this plan fails partially because of Harumi. Lloyd also wants to have a better relationship with Akari and has been giving her lessons to make up for all she missed for the past year.
Finding the Oni Masks becomes a big deal after the palace starts on fire, and Akari starts to suspect something of Harumi but leaves it alone because of how much her brother likes her.
When Garmadon is resurrected, this complicates things for Lloyd and she tries to help, also taking responsibility. Lloyd stops her from helping and tells her that she needs to be here if anything here to ever happen to him.
As we all know, he gets totally wrecked, and Cole, Jay, Zane, Kai and Wu teleport through realms to the Dragon and Oni Realm. Nya, Lloyd, and Akari say in Ninjago.

Season 9
----------
Akari takes part in the resistance with Lloyd and assists him with leading the resistance. While Lloyd battles Garmadon, Akari helps the Ninja with taking down the Colossi.

And we don't know what's next yet. I will update as seasons come out and as I think of better stuff.
