Well, I was thinking about this along with the Book idea for UB.If I seriously want this to have a chance of publishing, I cannot have sparkle wolves in it :/ (let's face it, the reasons I give for their colouring is crap, haha I admit, they are semi sparkle wolves *kefthundercassfizz* **kefallearlycharacters*)
This is an idea of a style of Fizz I may be applying to the illustrations in the book. I may consider using a different style, like actual wolves, but cartoons are more appealing for children, so I'll think on that for later
Want me to try out some others in book form? Most are safe colours, but the ones I'm thinking of changing are ~

Fawn
CASS
THUNDER
Fizz
Ivy
Everyone else will have very minor, if any changes
(Why may you ask are halfmoon and duskflame not being changed? They are being left as they could be key characters AND designs for a second series/book)
Let me hear your thoughts!!! (don't crit on anatomy please, I know it's off, SAI makes me screw up a lot, it's a weird program :'D)

Wow Izzy, just want to say Fizz' new colours for the book look pretty nice. I like how you've made them more realist specially the hair flick. The paw colour on the new Fizz also blend quiet nice and give her more of a wolfy feel, I guess. The black stripe on her tail also seems nicely formed into her coat, maybe add some leading onto her back as well to give it some more blending techniques.
Now as for the white undertone, yes I know most wolves have the, but may I suggest tinting it with a touch of brown to make it blend nicer as well and try and also make it fade inside the inner of her legs to make it look as it fades away.
Well I hope these little tips help you out Izzy, sorry if there a bit harsh D: I don't mean to make them harsh if they come off to be like that ;w;

I've been thinking of doing the same thing with a series I have been writing, (it's not shared on the internet yet) when I publish it as a book, I will change the designs of some characters to make it realistic.

I really like her book design, Fluffy! I'm really glad you made this change. Sometimes, I'll see sparkle wolves or cats and get really annoyed because they don't obey the laws of genetics - especially if it's in book form. I don't mind seeing the occasional animal with a little bit of odd colouring, but I don't tend to.

Book fizz looks awsome but I really don't think the cartoon one is a sparkle, sure she has hair and stuff but.. shes not pink haha

Honestly, I personally think you should keep their designs the same, unless you seriously fall in love with these newer ones. You shouldn't have to change something so intimate to the story - what the characters look like - for it to be published. So it's not completely realistic; that's fine, and your characters can reflect that. Look at the Black Blood Allegiance; they had some really weird-colored wolves, ans still fared pretty well, before cancellation, at least. Or The God's Pack; same thing. Odd-colored animals, but no negative effect on reader-ship.
Of course, I'm not a completely un-bias opinion, since my own wolf-series I plan to make is filled with colorful characters. xD

I have a suggestion for Heather. Since she is a spotted wolf, why not darken her yellow fur and have her speckled with darker brown. Also I love the design. She looks very beautiful and less childlike.

I think the design is good, but I think the part connecting the paw to the thigh is too short.
