This is a page from the manga, drawn and written by Rumiko Takahashi, who created Ranma 1/2. This is from the last volume, #38. If you look, he is not actually saying the words, but he is thinking them very powerfully.

Yes I read the first 15 or so but stopped b/c I kept hearing nothing ever really happens between them. I imagine eventually they did get married, though never showed.

~~~SPOILER ALERT! (for Ranma 1/2)~~~
Actually, nothing ever does get resolved. In that same issue, the two dads try to trick them into a wedding - they tell Akane they have a barrel of water from Spring-of-the-Drowned-Boy, but they won't give it to Ranma unless Akane marries him. Akane tells Ranma that she heard him say he loves her, so she's okay with marrying him, but he says he never said anything out loud. A big fight between them happens. Then every single person who loves either Ranma or Akane (or both) show up and demolishes the dojo. The last page is Ranma and Akane running to school together the next day, looking kind of shyly at each other. It was not a very satisfying ending!

Someone should have really kicked Rumiko good in the ass to finish the ending right.
