I think that for a first run with a macro this is pretty good. I do want to point out a couple of things though. The Focus is not on the words "Air Force" but instead on your stripes. Now there is nothing wrong with this but the way that the words "Air Force" are centered on the image it looks as if that was supposed to be your focal point.

I will keep that in mind when I roll out the next photo in the series ( I figure I will do this shot every few years when I get promoted)

I was an E-1 at basic, than once I graduated I became an E-3 ( based on graduating High school and a 6 year contract)
I hopefully become an E-4 next summer, because of my time in grade ( it all is really comfusing to me, so I will just wait, till time comes, haha!

Nah, I'm with the Civil Air Patrol. I'm joining USAF ROTC, so I can just bypass the lower ranks.

Ah I see, For me I checked out the ROTC, in all honestly Its not the best way for benefits, plus you miss out on boot camp! haha
