Yeah! It's very funny. I grew up with it, but they're good games any way you look at them. I recommend checking them out. Even the very old ones have been redone now.

What are the game mechanics? Does it have mostly storytelling or mostly playing?

Click and point puzzle game, definitely mostly playing. Very short cutscenes and little to no backstory xD Here 's a longplay of the first one (which originally came out in '98, so it's not the best). Obviously you don't have to watch the whole thing but it'll give you an idea.
