Harper woke up to her phone's usual alarm and rolled over, pulling her eyes open to hit "off". She swung her legs over the side of the bed, (much to her cat Tiki's dismay, as she was sleeping on her legs) and got up to stretch. Outside was dark, like it was still night, but in reality it was just 3am. She pulled on her English riding clothes, and put her hair into a simple braid. She hadn't told her grandma but she was planning on riding the newest mare to Longhorn Ranch. She was the daughter of Greek Ruins and Six Sun Spots, her father has made plenty of promising foals and is quickly becoming one of the best studs to breed.

Greek Sun, aka Alina, was sent to another ranch to grow and be broken properly, as Harper didn't have time to completely focus on her. But she was loaded in yesterday, and lord is she a beauty. Harper never had a thing for mares, she was defiantly a gelding girl, but something about Alina just made her excited. She walked out the front door, making sure to close it very quietly not to wake her grandma. She hopped into her car and started it up, backing out of the drive. Harper and her grandma didn't live on the ranch. They had their own large house down the street from it. She drove until she finally pulled into the gravel driveway of Longhorn Ranch.

After some time later, Harper was riding Alina in the English arena. The sky was starting to lighten ever so slightly, but damp mist still clung to the air and dampened Harpers clothes. Her breath fogged up her glasses as she posted Alina around the fence. She kicked her gently and she started to lope towards the first jump... they got closer... and closer... until- Whoosh! They flew over it with ease!

What a great way to start the day!
