there are no word in any spoken language to say how so amazing this is. i just kinda sat there, and came up blank, staring at the beatuful work, and the detail and the hat. my god, this is incredible. i want a framed version on my wall.

i love the hatpin though, and the trim and feathers, i mean, omg, its so real. and how he'd wear it. and the way you did the facial features make me think of like an actual portrait of a historical figure, or a photograph or something equally amazing, the detail and design is just incredible. I mean like the hair is kinda awkish, and the lapels might have the same trim as the collar, but thats just a personal thing. i mean, this is just so incredible. i wish i had this kind of talent, cause i do super detailed stuff like this all the time, but despite the detail i can do its nowhere near as amazing and realistic and drop dead georgious as this. i have a friend who i rp with and we both have ocs who are flints children. i'm gonna have to share this with her.

Yeah, I was going for a portrait-like look with this. But well, it's just a coloured sketch after all, so I didn't spend too much time on the hair and clothes. I was really focused on the face. This is the first time I drew Flint and making the six eyes look right is quite a challenge, hehe. Thanks a lot for the input on the clothes! I've got another Flint WIP right now, I'll keep that in mind! Thanks a lot again, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and share it.

Fun Fact: Treasure Planet was the first time Flint was given a first name, Nathaniel.

Ah, I didn't know that was the fist time. I would have thought that some other adaption of the story had offered a guess as to what "J." might stand for. But I really like Disney's choice in Treasure Planet. Nathaniel is such a cool and unique name, wouldn't want him to end up with simply "John" or "James", haha.
