Words are paintings
A subtle splash of color and a hidden brushstroke
Telling about entire civilizations
In the twirl of an artist's brush.
Words are breezes
Blowing the winds of change
Whistling through the sky
Murmuring and whispering to themselves.
Words are ideas
And songs and tapestries
Words are paintings and breezes
But words are most of all
An expression of ourselves,
An outpouring of emotion from our hearts,
As we try to understand what can never be understood,
Knowing only that we must try.
