These characters are neat.
I think, though, that it should have a happier ending in the sequel where Hunter does, in fact, see them and know who they are later
And it's funny, really, Damien's name sounded like Demon and May's name didn't have really anything to do with vampires, but now her name is Rose which sounds like a vampire name XD
