Well actually I think the realization of knowing you could fall for someone of the same gender still has to be hard. I mean let's say at the time you were with a man and you are a man. The public doesn't know you're bisexual, from the outside you still look simply homosexual. So the discrimination is still there, as are all the other pressures. Though I agree, it has to be in a way more bearable, and I'm glad people find it so

Well it's useful up until you find that special person/pony/fox/whatever. It's also really funny when someone asks if you're gay and you can respond with "Yes I am, but I'm also straight"

I'm pansexual but I definitely like guys a lot more. I can imagine people going through a lot of hardship, and I support each and every one of them. I didn't come out yet, but it's not like a keep it a secret. I just don't feel the need of telling.

im having this now, i always tried to lie to myself, and it never worked. i eventually contemplated suicide, it felt like the only escape. but through the help of others, i regained my happiness, and eventually my confidence when i realized that its not all about other oppinions. you need to live your life how it is and have fun doing it!

my dad's made a point that he's not supportive of fillyfooling and rather quite discourages it. (i call it fillyfoolers/filly fooling because it's a cute term and for some reason helps me identify myself better. i feel like if i tell my dad he will abandon me. sorry, i don't mean to be all emo right now. but i understand everyone's pain in some way or another

yes. actually, i think i'm bi because of my attraction to both girls and guys.
he just says the most retarded stuff like "ugh they should keep it to themselves!" but then just the other day we were talking about his gf's brother and he mentioned he was gay and then my dad was all "i'm totally ok with it. yea i have nothing against people who are different! who said i did?" uh... just yesterday actually dad, YOU said it wasn't right and have made plenty of negative and hurtful comments before this.

I think some people react differently when it suddenly becomes a part of their immediate life. Some people begin to re-adjust their views because of the people they love so much. Other times, their ideals are so strong that even the relationship can't overcome it.
Hopefully your father is one that can re-adjust to a more understanding nature, but regardless, I wish you all the best for this situation
