My understanding of English is too low to understand what you just said, please explain.
Do you mean wings? If so, that's cuz I suck at drawing and totally dont know what I am doing. And I'm too lazy to actually get reference from google images and check how to correctly draw wings.

If the following text goes beyond your English, then you have to get another way to make it understandable cuz I write in clear English, the rest is affected by the reader's skills.

Dude, it's good you don't think of yourself too highly, but the fact is even this pic is leagues above my level, and I always knew precisely how bad I'm at anything, especially graphics.

Someone at your level would probly replace that white color in a "spectacular" way, while my skill allows me to do that by selecting the white areas with adjacent selection and apply the currently active color on the selected pixels, assuming there are no non-white pixels (most ppl use antialiasing on the edges which creates pixels that go from the top of the spectrum color to the bottom one, in this case white, to create a smooth look) aren't in need of replacing cuz that looks very ugly, but those pixels are nearly never of a similar range, so selecting them other way than manually is too much asked for my current level. In other words, I can only work on flat pictures using flat colors. You're far above that. You can have a look at my gallery to get an idea of my current level. I can't even draw the most simple 2D house by hand ! And it's not like you think.

If you would see my hand drawn things... Well, then your eyes would bleed.
And if I understand it right, what you mean is that I should use some shadows and lighting (also some texture maybe) on them, generally make them look less flat - right?

I agree, but even you should still have chances to improve. Making mistakes is a good teacher, but whether the one making the mistakes learns ...
