Description
I learn a few more neat things I didn't know in SAI, and I've pretty much covered most of the standard poses for ponies in my usual style, so I thought I'd try something different and attempt a different style of outlines and try shading again.Edit: Better? I ran the blur tool over the shading layers to smooth out the shading.

Just make it so that it gradually goes into the shade and it'll look great! Yours is ok, just a bit of a hard transition is all.

Yaaaaay, you're trying out shading! Now this is more of my field. Shading: Now, I don't know how realistic you wanted the shading to be but one thing I'll mention is that the tone-differences in it is too direct, you can see the borders from the color changes. If you ever want to see or know how I do the blending I could show you.
Hooves: Nothing to say here really! Nice job.
Muzzle: Just lower it a bit, right now it's too big.
The eyes are far too small again, If I compare them to show-style. If that's your style, i have nothing to say, except you forgot the shading on the eyes.

Also I have absolutely no idea how to go about shading eyes.

I was going for reasonably realistic shading, but I didn't really think I had it. I'm still playing around with different tools in SAI for shading, this time I used the marker tool, I think I may go back and try running the blur tool over the shading layer and see if maybe that helps. Did I at least get the general light levels in the right places?
Yay! Good hooves!
Somehow I think large muzzles and smallish eyes are going to end up my style whether I like it or not, because I can't seem to stop doing them like that. Though hopefully I'll manage to get my style to have them in some manner that looks better than it does currently. ^_^

How do you shade eyes? Well, look at some references as I always say, you might find something when you google eyes or you could check out Tsitra's work. If the light levels are correct... I don't know where the light comes from, but I can say that your shades must be darker, in order for it to be more visible, shadows are very dark.
