I agree with the darker tones, everything seems to blend in together a bit.

Not bad, I still think that you shouldn't be afraid to use some darker tones at some places though, like the clouds and the tree, the shadows from the tree and the brush is... a bit weird, and the green shadows shouldn't overlap the trees roots.

The green shadows weren't supposed to be overlapping the tree roots, but everything I tried to do to fix it just ended up making it look worse, so I left it.
