Description
A shaded version of my new avatar.I think I did decently on this. If I did, the light source should appear to be above and slightly in front of her. I'm pretty sure my wing shading still needs some work. ^_^
Edit: I fixed some of what was wrong. I don't have time right now to try and make the wings look better, but I plan on working on that after work tonight. ^_^

Yeah, she looks a little bit crispy, you need to go softer on the shading. Sometimes shading with black isn't the best idea, especially with a white pony.

since she's white, she should be more grayish on the shading, like on her near hind hoof. She's way too dark on some places, like her far hind hoof shouldn't be completely black almost all over, especially if the near front hoof have lots of highlight on it, the far one should too. The wings are a bit... blurry? the shade from the hair towards her hind leg should be a tiny bit bigger if the light comes a bit in front of her. The horn would look cooler if you smudged those shades a bit up.

I editted it and fixed a lot of the shading. Part of the problem was that I accidentally left my flat shade layer from the show style version on, but the far legs were still too dark anyway. I plan on working on the wings after work tonight. ^_^
