I haven’t been feeling terribly well lately. Spent the past three days with a stomach bug, hardly eating, and I’ve been feeling very achy and week. But I do try never to waste time... so I’ve been practicing some expression animation...and since I found a Photoshop pencil brush that I like...I decided I’d do a little clean up in Photoshop to give the animation that old fashioned, traditional look ^^
The pink line you see is my rough Flash line art, and the grey on top is my more on-model Photoshop clean up.
The gif used to loop seamlessly, and I wanted to finish this little segment completely tonight but... I’m starting to get headachey and tired so...I decided to truncate it and stop for the night <3
But anyone who knows me, knows that I hate to sleep without posting my work... so I decided I’d share the little work in progress with y’all. ^__^
I promise I’ll finish Nick soon, but for now I must rest <3

The design is very accurate to the real character from Zootopia. The only reason originality was low was because the character is straight from Disney WHICH IS COMPLETELY FINE! I love recreations like this one! I might be able to draw that, but I cannot animate something THAT ACCURATE and THAT WELL! This is a positive review, so don't get too pushy (LOL). No I only got one question for you and it's not "What are those?"....... what kind of animation software did you use? I can't find ANYTHING good with my style of drawing. So..... Well because this particular animation was very detailed. I did a couple of key poses in photoshop first. Then brought them into Flash and traced over them, and did the animation There, doing my best to track as much information as possible. When that was done I brought the entire thing back into Photoshop to begin cleaning up and adding more crisp detail like the paw pads and claws ^_^

very, very nice! Very nice indeed! How did you get the hand-drawn looking so good in Flash and Photoshop? No matter what I try, I can never get the brushes to look like, well, pencil.

Nice work, kinda looks like a Don Bluth animation style, but now that I see it, it does remind me of the old Robin Hood Disney film a little as well.
Feel better and drink plenty of water, them stomach viruses take a toll on your hydration, based on experience that is

Well after finally seeing the movie on Sunday, I have to admit, I was thoroughly surprised. So I have to say, I think I gained a larger appreciation for the fan art. So seeing this amazing gif come to life, all I have to simply put, is great job! I can't wait to see the finished animation!
