Well Groove Metal is the son of the Fucking Thrash, many greath Thrash Bands become in Groove Metal like Overkill, Vio-Lence, Anthrax, Sepultura, and many others

I'm not necessarily sure if they were truly the first Groove Metal band as bands like Exhorder and Prong were doing grooves earlier, but they definitely defined the modern style and brought it to the mainstream.Β
