I loved the film and the book but I liked the book a bit more so I based the looks for Hitgirl and Kick-Ass off of that.Rather than emulate Romita jnr's style (as if I could) I stuck with my own, think it turned out pretty good.

I really like this. Just as a side note (since I do enjoy my guns :-D) I don't think the gun is super accurate in the way it is firing. The slide wouldn't be back as the "fire" is coming out of the barrel. It would happen just after the bullet is fired so that it can release the bullet shell that is inside. Even though in real time it looks like it is at the same time, it wouldn't necessarily look like that if caught in a still frame (maybe you found a different reference photo?). All in all this is a great piece. The blood splatters are cool. I am loving the red against that plain white. Your style is very fun, original, and I love your inking style. I'd certainly say that this is no Romita Jr., but in its own right, this is a pretty solid Kick-Ass piece. Great job! I do apologize if I gave you more info than you would have wanted...
