"Reed, get a move on! We're gonna be late!" Rachel's shout echoed down the street.

Reed winced, thinking to himself, why's she gotta yell like that? Gonna piss off the entire block. Hastily, he scrambled into his shoes, snatched his house keys, and threaded his way through a maze of moving boxes.

Just a week earlier, Rachel's GTS virus diagnosis had led to her outgrowing their cozy New York apartment. Reed had been left to box up their life for a move to a more GTS-friendly area. As he stepped out, shutting the door behind him, he found Rachel waiting in the middle of the street, hunched like a sprinter ready to race.

"At last! What took you so long? I'm worried will miss the opening act."

Reed quickly closed the gap between them, signaling his towering girlfriend to hoist him up.

"Love, boxing up our entire life solo is no small feat," he pointed out. "Plus, with your new size, we're never going to be late again. You can cover ten city blocks in no time flat."

Rachel gently scooped up Reed, settling him onto her shoulder.

"I just wanted to relive the old times when we used to be late, alright?"

Reed responded with a delicate peck on Rachel's cheek, making himself comfortable on her shoulder.

"You're adorable, you know that? We should make get going before they sell out of GTS sized merch."

Rachel's face scrunched into a playful pout as she carefully navigated the street traffic, striding towards the concert.

"I sure hope they've got my t-shirt size. This GTS XL is starting to feel a bit snug."
