YEAH. WE'RE GAY. DEAL WITH IT.

It's that time guys! PRIDE MONTH IS IN FULL BLOOM AND I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY! One of my favorite times of the years where being gay is even more fun, where embracing ourselves is key, and where expressing ourselves takes true flight. In this case, my time's devoted to my favorite five queer children that have been around since 2020! Let's talk real quick about the five girls, shall we?

EVIE: CLOSETED LESBIAN

Would you honestly be surprised if I said Evie was a closeted lesbian? She never developed feelings for anyone until Mya, and plus, her mother discouraged her from love interest (tiger parents despise romance). All that mattered to Evie was her education and her grit. But Mya? Oh, Mya deflowered her walls and made her question everything. You haven't seen much of Evie's identity crisis, but after gaining her feelings for Mya, it didn't take Evie too long to sit down and figure out that yes, she was in love with Mya, and yes, she was queer. She liked women. Men? No. Lesbian. She wasn't pretty good at hiding her feelings either, as Mya and fellow lesbian Winter just knew where exactly her heart lay. After her mother stopped tiger parenting her, Evie felt more free to be with Mya and far comfier than she ever was. JUST LOOK AT HER ROCKING THAT LESBIAN POSE SHE IS SUCH A BADASS

MYA: BI BI BI

One of our favorite of the two bisexuals, there's always something to love about Mya, whether it's her silliness, creative way to solve problems, or the badassery she exhibits when breaking free of her bullying and self-esteem issues. While it wasn't shown much as first in my old writing, yes, Mya is very clearly bi and she loves both men and women! Her first love interest was Benji, but they both chose to remain friends. She loved him, platonically and romantically. Then there was Evie, and just from an accidental kiss the two shared, Mya knew she was in love. Evie had been her friend for three years, and Mya viewed her as her best friend, so beautiful and unique underneath her rocky outer layer, but when she kissed her, she felt as if they could be more than just words. She was madly in love, DEEPLY in love, with Evie. But how could she tell her friend if she didn't seem all that keen on real romance? She was wrong, as when she came out to Evie, Evie only found her adorable... and more attractive. They wanted to die for each other. They saw each other as equals. And when Daniela was defeated, they kissed in their favorite tree. Mya had no need to worry when her friend reciprocated her feelings.

WINTER: FIERY... AND ALSO GENDER NON-CONFORMING!

If you weren't aware, yes, Winter is indeed gender non-conforming as well as the lesbian tomboy we all know her as! This will be clarified more in Winter's Tales, but Winter has always felt more masculine-leaning whilst maintaining her feminity. One of her inspirational guides is her idol, Varien (who I also love just as dearly, OF FOXES AND HOUNDS ON REPEAT), who is one of the few in the EDM community to identify in transgender. He frequently showcases himself in stunning photographs, and let's just say Winter was enticed by how he presented himself, wanting to express herself in a similar matter. It's part of the reason she's cut her hair twice to eventually get it where she wanted it. She briefly thought she was transgender, but felt happy in her own body and began to lean more into her growing thoughts of women and presenting more masculine. She's faced trials, being cast out of her home by her father for being queer and being in love with Daniela, and had to fight to keep her identity and lies from being uncovered by the world. But meeting Evie and Mya changed her life, and with their help, she proved to everyone that even if she may have lied, she won't ever surrender from a fight and won't keep running from her past. Eventually, she did get a second chance at love with Amira, and it was higher and deeper than anything she'd ever experienced.

AMIRA: INSERT READY NOW BY MADUK HERE, PLEASE

Talk about Amira being a lesbian did not really become mainstay in EaM until almost midway through Season 2, where she's revealed to have fallen for Winter only a few weeks after meeting her. It comes as a shock to no one, and hell, when I rewrite Season 2, there's going to be a song that DIRECTLY foreshadows this in the first episode (here's a hint: it's on Monstercat, and it's indie dance). Her being a lesbian will be clarified more, maybe even in the Christmas special, as in my headcanon I imagined Dani having the briefest crush on her (and who doesn't blame her?). Amira never knew what love truly was until she had her unexpected first kiss with Winter, but that love powered her to break away from Shetani and defeat her in a final battle scene I'm literally DROOLING to write. Thanks Maduk for providing the song. It has completely fucked up my adrenaline, so call me a junkie.

DANIELA: BI BI BI 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

The other bisexual and to this day my favorite of the girls, Daniela's story is... WAY TOO LONG TO RECAP HERE. I'm only going to talk about her being bi and her dating history, no more. Early on she had some boy crushes, and felt really connected to this one named Damian (#winterstalesinformation )... but then, she encountered Winter, and everything changed. Instead, Dani was the one falling for Winter, falling for her every move and wanting her to know that she loved her more than she could ever love herself. When she got a chance, she came out and confessed and spent the night nuzzling with Winter in the moonlight. While a fateful decision on her part ultimately destroyed their relationship and later turned Dani against Winter, Dani gets her well-known redemption and fights to prove herself. Winter may have moved on with Amira, but Dani'll never forget their chemistry - and neither will Winter. In the end, they work ten times better as friends than lovers.

Don't worry, guys, there will be more pride art when I have time! I want to draw pride art for Eviya, Wimira, and Carmani.

Also, you might have not noticed, but I've altered Amira's skin tone a little. She looked a bit greenish so I tinted her to be more red while maintaining her appearance of being biracial and a cross of her parents.
